Support Services

Beginning April 1st through June 30, 2023, Penn Women's Center will have limited capacity to provide confidential support services and options counseling.

If you need to speak with someone, we encourage you to reach out to one the confidential resources listed below. See PVP’s resource page for a full list of Penn’s confidential resources.

Support Services & Resources


If you or someone you know needs help, PWC provides confidential crisis/options counseling as well as referrals related to a wide range of issues including (but not limited to):

  • Gender-based harassment
  • Sexual Violence
  • Relationship Violence           
  • Stalking
  • Discrimination                                        
  • Parenting/Lactation Issues
  • Abortion
  • Helping a friend

Appointments are recommended but not required; we endeavor to accommodate walk-ins Monday-Friday from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. To schedule an appointment please email or call 215-898-8611.

Penn Violence Prevention

We collaborate with Penn Violence Prevention to help educate the campus community about dating violence, stalking and sexual assault. 

PVP spring semester drop-in hours: 

  • Mondays at ARCH 211: 1PM – 2PM 
  • Tuesdays at Penn First Plus (1 College Hall, ground floor): 11AM – 1PM 
  • Tuesdays at Penn Women’s Center (3643 Locust Walk): 12PM – 2PM 
  • Wednesdays at LGBT Center (3907d Spruce Street): 2PM – 4PM 
  • Wednesdays at OFSL (3933 Walnut Street): 3PM – 5PM 
  • Thursdays at Grad Student Center (3615 Locust Walk): 10AM -12PM 



Student Counseling

Students can drop-in to Student Counseling and meet with a clinician during regular business hours. To schedule an appointment, call 215-898-7021 and press 2. Additionally, you can press 1 to speak to a counseling provider at any time of the day or night, 24/7.  

Counseling’s Let’s Talk  program provides access to free and confidential drop-in conversations with a trained professional at various locations across campus. Students can talk about any stress and anxiety they are feeling, bounce around ideas, and work through their emotions. Click here for hours and locations. 

Special Services 

The Special Services team provides 24/7 support services to members of the Penn community who have experienced any type of crime. Highly trained personnel are available to offer immediate assistance, including crisis intervention, accompaniment to legal and medical proceedings, options counseling and advocacy, and linkages to other University and community resources, as well as city, state, and federal resources.
